We already know how talented our community is 🤘. Last year, we started collaborating with creative Vikings. Our users and brave artists – Kasia and Konrad – created one-of-a-kind handmade products. And we're continuing this project. We have so many talented souls on board!

From Vikings for Vikings

We're kicking off another edition of Creative Vikings in collaboration with ViQueen Ania from Pyx & Lix. Ania has prepared polymer clay earrings in two versions: a helmet and a she-wolf. They are unique and, most importantly, created from A to Z by our brave ViQueen. Her creations have landed in the Viking Store.

About the Adventure with Clay and Detective Monk

We asked Ania to tell us more about herself and her adventure with handicrafts. So that the entire Viking community can get to know her better! Because we already know a little about her. Brew some coffee ☕ and settle in to read.

  1. How did your adventure with handicrafts begin?

My fascination with handicrafts dates back to my early years. I was always looking for interesting ways to spend my holidays, which led to a variety of skills: from juggling and playing the ukulele, through solving the Rubik's Cube, creating felt mascots or polymer clay figures, to learning chess and drawing. In my adult life, while looking for a creative outlet, I returned to polymer clay. My first project was earrings, which later turned into Pyx and Lix.

  1. What do you do on a daily basis? Where do you live? What do you like to do in your free time?

I live in Łódź and I really like this city (despite many unfavorable opinions about this place, I warmly invite you to Łódź!). I work in a corporate job on a daily basis, and Pyx is my escape after hours. Besides playing with clay, I love cycling or walking with my dog. Recently, I've been enjoying re-watching series I used to like. I don't know if anyone remembers Monk, but I still love that series despite the years. And besides, like a true Viking, I also like to travel.

  1. Where do you look for inspiration?

The source of inspiration for me are patterns and color combinations found on the street (Łódź is a city of murals!). I like colors and I like to combine them in interesting ways, and inspiration can be anything, even mugs in a cafe. I also like nature, which is why you can see a lot of flowers from me, but also butterflies or moons (which ended up on the earrings prepared for you).

  1. Why did you join the Creative Vikings project?

It's an honor for me, I was very happy to hear that I had the opportunity to participate in such a project. I like new challenges, doing new things brings me a lot of joy.

  1. What products have you prepared for the Viking community?

Especially for the Vikings, I prepared two models of earrings. The first, more minimalist, decorated with an imprinted helmet, the second – a bit more extravagant, depicts a wolf howling at the moon. Vikings associate me with dark colors, which is why they dominate. I broke up the polymer clay elements with surgical steel elements in gold color. They add expressiveness to the earrings.

  1. How are you sailing on the Viking ship?

Great! I've been sailing with you and your packages for a very long time. We'll soon be celebrating our 10th anniversary of joint journeys. I became a Viking because I like independence and flexibility. The fact that I can adjust my top-up to my current needs is a great option for me.

  1. Which offer stole your heart and why?

Lately, I've been really enjoying the Perfect Match plan. It has everything I need – lots of internet (to stay updated on what's happening on Pyx's Instagram), and if I use up the gigs (because I uploaded a lot of photos), I can always easily top up my internet.

  1. Who is a modern Viking to you?

A modern Viking is someone who values freedom and independence.

They can handle difficult situations and don't give up easily. Anyone who takes on challenges every day and strives for their goals can be a modern Viking.

  1. What do you appreciate about the Viking community?

I appreciate the Viking community for its laid-back attitude, sense of humor, and attention to detail (I really like the interesting facts in the emails). I think everyone here is positively nuts.

  1. Send a kind word from yourself to the Vikings.

A positive attitude (and colorful earrings) can change the world for the better!

Check out the Viking Store for Ania's wonders

Ania has already presented the creations she prepared for our community, and now it's time to see them. You'll find them in the Creative Vikings category. This is the first, but not the last collaboration with Vikings this year. It's worth waiting for the next ones 👀!
