Vikings – you surely know that people, in terms of getting out of bed, are divided into two groups – larks and owls, or in other words, early birds and night owls. 🙂 Which group do you belong to? For those who struggle with getting up for work every day, we have the best apps – alarm clocks! Forget about the daily struggle to get out of bed and don't be late! Surprise your colleagues and always be on time! Below, we present a few apps that will make waking up more pleasant and easier.
Walk Me Up!
Walk Me Up will outsmart the biggest clever ones! Snoozing twelve times won't work; to turn off this app, you have to walk a specified number of steps while holding your smartphone. Perhaps during this walk, you'll wake up and, instead of going back to bed, you'll head to make a delicious breakfast?!
Through the global settings screen, we can decide on:
- the number of steps we need to take for the alarm to turn off,
- the sensitivity of step measurement,
- the sensitivity of device shaking measurement.
There's also an option for the desperate – we can activate the merciless "Evil Mode," which will prevent the alarm from being snoozed for a specified period. And now for the most interesting part – what happens if we try to cheat the app and start shaking the smartphone while lying down? According to the manufacturer, the app is equipped with an "intelligent algorithm" that detects shaking. So, we have to download Walk Me Up and see for ourselves!

Sleep if You Can
If neither walking nor spinning can wake you up, reach for the Sleep if You Can app. The alarm stops ringing only when you take a photo of a specific object or place in your home. You choose the location yourself. Of course, it's best to choose a place that's far from your bed. When the alarm goes off, you have to get up, find the object or place, and then take a photo or scan a QR/barcode. The app has another tool – it not only wakes you up but also helps you fall asleep. It offers 11 soundscapes to help you fall asleep: crackling fireplace, rain, river sounds, cafe chatter, alpha and beta waves. And as you all probably know, quality sleep = easier waking up. There's plenty to choose from, Vikings!

I can’t wake up!
The I can’t wake up! app is for Vikings who excel at math and solving puzzles. The app relies on more old-school methods to get you out of bed. You can choose from a database of tasks that will help you wake up. Solving mathematical equations, repeating a pattern displayed on your smartphone, pointing out objects, and even transcribing a given text. If that doesn't help, an additional feature for the biggest sleepers is the consciousness test, which will repeat the previous task to make sure you're awake.

Sleep As Android
This is another incredibly useful app for those who unconsciously turn off their alarm and go back to sleep. Additionally, it can inform you about the best time to go to sleep to wake up refreshed and with a smile on your face. An unusual and very interesting feature is monitoring sleep parameters and even recording them, e.g., snoring episodes – especially important for people with this condition. The app is equipped with an algorithm that records this information from the smartphone's sensors and its microphone. After analyzing the data, it identifies deep sleep, light sleep, awakenings, and moments when you snored.
