5G-enabled phones. Which model to choose?

5G – a topic that sends shivers of excitement down the spines of both tech geeks and conspiracy theorists. 🛸 Following the theme, we'll focus on the excitement of the former, and try to highlight the best phone models that utilize this connectivity standard.

As an introduction, it's worth noting two things. One is the fact that at the time of writing this text (July 2021) – 5G technology is indeed available in Poland, but its availability is severely limited. 🔒 Secondly – it's still not a standard in the current "pool" of smartphones, so the models mentioned above are mostly flagships, meaning you'll have to reach a bit deeper into your pockets. So what's worth paying attention to? Here are the 5G smartphones we've selected.

iPhone 12 mini / 12 / 12 Pro 🍏

As promised – we start with flagships, and under the Apple sign. In this case, the entire latest generation of iPhones has been enhanced with 5G, regardless of the model's size and capabilities. If you're fond of this ecosystem and interface, we surely don't need to add much more, and if you're still hesitating, then... you'll have to carefully consider each option when it comes to the mentioned models. On one hand, considering what kind of phone you need, because the 12 mini, as the name suggests, is a compact return to the roots, when mobile phones really fit easily in your hand. However, the size in this case is a compromise for the sake of the battery. 🔋 The 12 is, of course, better in this regard (to put it briefly), while the Pro version definitely offers better photo quality and accompanying functions, as well as better materials used in production. And the last argument to consider: September/October will conventionally be associated with the announcement of a new generation.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 🤖

Just as we reached for the top-shelf models from the Cupertino company, in this case too, we're dealing with the "ultimate" model from the South Korean corporation. Ultimate naturally refers to the range of available options and capabilities, but also (understandably) to the price. 💲 In the "package," you get a 120Hz AMOLED display, wireless charging, 8K video recording, and quite impressive battery life. Analogously to the Apple case – if you're aiming for a flagship model, it's highly probable that its successor will appear in early 2022.

OnePlus 9 Pro ➕

If you're sticking with Android devices but aiming for a slightly lower price point (assuming you're hunting in Chinese markets), the OnePlus 9 Pro seems like a reasonable choice for a smartphone with 5G on board. 🚢 What do we get in the package? A 120Hz display, a very good battery (4500 mAh), and quite decent performance.

Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 🐼

Stepping down in price again, while still being interested in a 5G phone – we naturally come across Xiaomi models. When looking for the perfect compromise between price and quality – you should be satisfied in both aspects. 😊 A fast fingerprint reader, solid construction, a smooth display, and excellent gaming performance are among the selling points of this model. However, if you want to get a flagship from this brand again – you should look at the series/generation marked with the number 11.

Google Pixel 4A 🥽

In this case, you can again count on an excellent price-to-quality ratio. The camera should definitely be added to the list of positives, as it has similar parameters to the model ranked higher with number 5. 📷 In addition, there's a durable battery, a perfectly optimized system, and the inseparable AI support from Google.
