Imagine a smartphone feature that gives you some peace and quiet, while also increasing your safety when traveling… Well, such a thing not only exists, but every one of us has it on their phone. It’s the airplane mode. ✈️ In the interest of our Vikings, we present how it works and some of its uses. Some of them will be useful during travel, while others will improve your mental well-being and increase your welfare, making airplane mode on your phone a golden feature. 💰
What is airplane mode? 🧑✈️
It’s a phone setting that cuts off contact with the outside world. 🔒 We won’t be able to call, send an SMS, or an email. As the name suggests, airplane mode is activated during air travel. This is all to prevent your phone from emitting any waves that could interfere with the operation of aircraft pilots and the devices they use.
Before each flight, the cabin crew instructs passengers on safety matters during the journey. How to fasten seatbelts, what can be done during the flight, and what cannot. 🚳 Around this time, a message appears asking passengers to switch their devices to airplane mode. This is for our safety and the comfort of the pilots, and activating the feature takes just a few seconds. It’s worth using, if only for your own peace of mind.
Airplane mode on your phone as zen mode? 🧘
Beyond flights, this unique phone feature can do a lot of good in our daily lives. A side effect of the 21st century is sensory overload at every turn. Everything shouts, flashes, and distracts us. 🎉🚨 📢 And yes, smartphones are a very convenient tool. But when notifications from social media and advertisements pop up on the screen every five seconds, even a Jedi Master would get annoyed.
Airplane mode helps solve all these problems by blocking external stimuli. However, we can still work on our device, use the phone's multimedia, and even write emails in advance. ✉️ All this without distracting notifications. Less noise around means more focus, improved concentration, and generally better well-being. One mode, and it does so much good. And it’s free.

Considering how useful airplane mode is – even when we’re not flying anywhere – it’s surprising that it’s not used more often. 🤔 It seems like it should be called rest mode. After a hard day, disconnecting from the world can work wonders, and everyone has access to it. It’s worth disconnecting from the network and enjoying the absence of notifications sometimes. 🍃 And do you ever use airplane mode to rise above the information noise?
