There was a day – very warm, despite being in December. 🎵 Specifically, this past Sunday, when the Szlachetna Paczka (Noble Parcel) project, prepared by the Viking community, was solemnly delivered to a wonderful Wrocław family. Ewa, Adam, and Martyna are in for a wonderful Christmas 🎄 and a bit of relief in their challenging daily lives. 😌 And all of this thanks to you!
For the second time, we invited our community to participate in the Szlachetna Paczka project – a nationwide initiative of Christmas support for people in difficult life situations. 🎁 For this purpose, we launched a special Rescue Raft, where every Viking could contribute what we never lack on our ship: accumulated gigabytes! Every 3 GB equals 1 ZŁ of help. How much did we collect? We'll get to that in a moment – first, let's learn about who all this is for. After all, in our network, we put people before numbers. 🧑🤝🧑>🔢
About a Brave Family 💪
Adam, Ewa, and their daughter Martyna live in Wrocław. They have two adopted stray dogs and love family trips out of town. Ewa is a talented painter, Adam is a handy person, and Martyna is involved in scouting. However, dark clouds gathered over their ordinary lives when the girl fell seriously ill. ⛈️ The fight for her health is a huge effort that the members of this small family crew undertake every day. But they need help to overcome adversity.
Vikings Answer the Call 📯
Our community never disappoints – as many as 295 Vikings (including, of course, the team from our Command Center) volunteered to help. Together, we managed to raise 12,100 PLN, thanks to which we could fulfill Martyna's biggest dream: to have long, beautiful hair again. 👱🏻♀️ The girl lost it due to her illness, and the old, tight, and worn-out wig she wore until then was a source of teasing at school. But that's in the past – we got her a wig made of natural hair that will last long and help her feel better. What else did we buy? Everyday essentials – new bedding, cleaning supplies, food supplies, and dog food. 🛒 And of course, Christmas presents! Ewa received paints from us, Martyna got Ekipa gadgets, and Adam received a shaving cosmetic set. 🎅
But That's Not All! 💥
Although the purchase of the wig took up a significant portion of our budget, we didn't rest on our laurels and unleashed reserves of goodwill, more valuable than money! To our absolute delight, it turned out that there was plenty of it around us. 😲
👑 Thanks to kind people, we managed to organize a voucher for cosmetic treatments for Martyna, who is very upset about losing her eyebrows.
😇 Within our Viking crew, there was a true angel who gifted the girl a laptop for her studies – until now, she had to use her phone.
🔥 And now for the real bombshell. Adam dreamed of a driving course, which would allow him to find a better-paying job. The Wrocław-based Akademia Dobrej Jazdy (Good Driving Academy) offered to take him under their wing. Thank you for showing a true Viking spirit! If we ever need a license for something other than a drakkar, we know where to go!

The brave crew set out to the Family's home, where Martyna greeted us with a big smile. Ewa, Adam, and Martyna couldn't believe the number of parcels and you could see they were moved. The dogs also sensed the emotions and were excited by our visit. We exchanged wishes and kind words, and we set off on our way back so the family could calmly examine the contents of the parcels. We didn't ask them to open things in front of us, so emotions probably reached their peak after we left. They are wonderful and warm people. Helping them was a great pleasure.
