The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is a very reasonably stripped-down version of last year's flagship, sold for a moderately reasonable price.
So, the S21 FE includes a few "compromises," but they're more like the kind of compromises where your sword's hilt has fewer embellishments. It's a slight shame, but so what, if the blade still works just as well?
The new model also received one entirely positive change, although again – only theoretically. It's about the Snapdragon 888 processor instead of Samsung's own Exynos. Snapdragons enjoy a greater reputation, but on a daily basis, both versions of the S21 perform just as quickly in my opinion. Which is to say, quickly.
"If you can't see the difference, why pay more" could therefore become the official advertising slogan for the Galaxy S21 FE – if it hadn't already been claimed by Dosia laundry detergent in the nineties. Well, and if it were actually cheaper.
This is the only problem with this phone: Samsung "slimmed down" its flagship so much that it actually gained a few kilograms. The FE debuts at a price of 3499 PLN, while if you look around carefully, you can snag the regular S21 for less than 3000 PLN. Both are excellent, but if I had to choose, I'd still opt for the older version. Or wait for the premiere and official prices of the S22 series. Or buy the legendary S20 FE, which is already a year and a half old, and has now become an even better deal – at least in that one, you'll find a charger in the box, which is missing here! And a microSD card slot.
Although the S20 FE also didn't get such a great price from the start, it hit the stores much earlier in the life cycle of its older siblings, so it managed to get cheaper quickly enough. The S21 FE might be similar, and if in a few months you find it somewhere alone and thirsty for, say, 2500 PLN, definitely take it into your home. But for now, you need to sit back and wait patiently.
