How to register a SIM card online
At Mobile Vikings, registering a SIM card is like putting on a helmet and sealing your entry (with Thor's hammer 🔨) aboard the horned operator. That's why Odin decided that the new registration process should be even more intuitive and automated.
Now, every future VIking will be able to register their SIM card online. This is possible thanks to the mObywatel app and the mojeID provider (which uses online banking), ensuring a fast, convenient, and secure form of digital identity verification.
Two options for a digital boarding
Let's say you're not a Viking yet, but you want to become one. You place an order on our website or in the Viking App. You choose the option to confirm your identity via the mObywatel app. You'll receive a unique QR code on your Viking Account or in the Viking App. You confirm your identity using the code – via the aforementioned mObywatel app.
The QR code shortens the time needed to register a new SIM card, while also eliminating the risk of entering incorrect data.
And what if you prefer to use the second option, i.e., identity verification via the mojeID provider? After selecting this option, simply log in to your bank account and confirm your identity that way. Simple? As easy as rowing 🚣!
Of course, you can still verify your identity the traditional way – with a courier, by showing your ID and signing documents upon receiving the SIM card. This option remains because we know that Vikings like to have a choice, and for #ForOurOwnEverything.
Identity verification via mObywatel and mojeID – is it safe?
Both mObywatel and the mojeID provider are valued solutions for their convenience and, above all, their security level 🛡️.
The mObywatel app is an official government project responsible for by the Ministry of Digital Affairs. No one else has access to your data. When your data is verified, it is encrypted, and after its authenticity is checked, it receives a certificate from the aforementioned ministry. The solution based on the mObywatel app is available to all Polish citizens.
Meanwhile, mojeID – supported by selected banks – also ensures the highest level of data processing security – in accordance with the requirements and security standards defined in national and European regulations for the electronic identification process. Over 22 million customers of selected banks can use the mojeID provider's services.
Not just security, but also convenience
The ability to confirm your identity online truly opens up a sea 🌊 of new possibilities for Vikings. First and foremost – in the case of an eSIM. For now, it's available for Subscription users who want to switch from a SIM to an eSIM. However, it's no secret that soon eSIM will be available instantly for all offers, without needing to have a traditional SIM card beforehand.
And here, identity verification comes in with full force 🥼! Soon, at Mobile Vikings, you'll be able to do EVERYTHING – LITERALLY – online if you order an eSIM. You won't have to wait for a courier at all, because why would you… They don't deliver eSIMs, after all!

So, you'll transfer or order a new number, confirm your identity, and register your eSIM on your phone 100% online, without leaving your home, without a courier, and without unnecessary paperwork.
