Vikings, it's about you. You've once again proven that you're the noblest crew on these waters and shed blood... 🩸 nope, accumulated gigabytes for a noble cause! This time, we raised funds to help the Non Licet Foundation, which supports victims of domestic violence. ⚔️🏠 Mission accomplished – the lifeboat full of goods docked at the foundation's address on Thursday!
Lifeboats are one of our favorite initiatives. All you need to do is be a Viking to do something good! It works very simply: you are, as we've already mentioned, a Viking. And since you are, it means that the gigabytes you don't use don't disappear at the end of the month, like they do with other operators. 💩 On the contrary – at Mobile Vikings, your data stays with you and accumulates month after month. So, it's no surprise to see a Viking with hundreds of GBs on their account. Sometimes, it's more than you can possibly use, which is why in our Viking Store, every crew member has the option to exchange GBs for cool clothes and other gadgets. Or for charity – Lifeboats. 🚣♂️ All you need to do is choose the lifeboat size (from 30 to 180 GB) and send it to us – we'll then convert the sent GBs into actual zlotys, which we'll then use for real help for the previously selected entity.
Lifeboats for Victims of Domestic Violence
In October, we were fundraising for the Non Licet Foundation, which provides comprehensive support to victims of violence, as well as trains specialists and organizes prevention workshops for children, youth, and adults. Because everyone deserves a safe haven – but not everyone has one. ☔ As many as 162 Vikings felt they couldn't stand idly by on this issue and decided to send a Lifeboat to Non Licet. In this way, we collected 16,770 GB, which, after conversion, turned into a glorious 5590 PLN! 💰
As soon as we closed the fundraiser, we quickly contacted the foundation's crew to find out what kind of support we could organize for them with that amount. Then, all that was left was to go shopping… 🛒
A Visit to Non Licet
We arrived at the foundation's headquarters late on Thursday afternoon. You should know that the wonderful people who make up Non Licet work there on a voluntary basis, after hours and after a full day spent at other, "normal" jobs. Sounds like superheroes, right? 🦸♀️ Because that's exactly what they are. And superheroes should have super gadgets in addition to their superpowers! Therefore, as per the foundation's request, we filled the lifeboat intended for them with modern technology treasures: a fast laptop 💻 and a reliable printer 🖨️, along with accessories for them, so they can more efficiently organize help for their charges.
On this occasion, we want to tell you something important – or rather, each of you individually. If someone close to you is using violence against you (physical, psychological, economic – any kind!), it's not a reason to be ashamed, nor is it your fault. No one has the right to treat you that way – and seeking help in such a situation is an act of courage to fight for yourself. Fight! 💪 Non Licet will help you in this fight. As after every visit to the beneficiaries of our Viking charity initiative, this time too, after handing over the donations, we are filled with good energy and motivation to continue! That's why we've already launched another Lifeboat – throughout November and the first days of December, feel the spirit of the approaching holidays and add your gigabytes to the Viking Noble Parcel! 🎁 The initiative probably needs no introduction – thanks to us, some family will have a joyful Christmas. 🎅 The entire team from the Command Center will also contribute their two cents! So, crew? Will the Vikings once again prove to be ho ho ho generous? 🤔
