At Mobile Vikings, helping is in our blood, and we joyfully engage in charitable actions. Sometimes it's original, like when we fought mosquitoes by building birdhouses in Wrocław, sometimes it's more classic. 🦮 The final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is an annual opportunity to help. Help to which we can add our five (or more) cents. This will be the case this time too! 💪
Vikings rush to help
We don't need to be persuaded to support actions with heart. We declare right away that Mobile Vikings will contribute something of its own to the WOŚP account. ❤️ However, we don't want to shoot in the dark about the amount, which is why this time too we are counting on the activity of our Viking community. We know you like to use the internet, and thanks to data rollover, you have an abundance of it, so this weekend the amount of our support will be decided by... the number of gigabytes used by Vikings! 🏝️
How to use a lot of internet?
To increase usage, you'll find some ways to lose data helpful. We've prepared a special list of ready-to-try methods:
- Download World of Warcraft with its expansions, and then never play it. ⚔️
- Watch all funny cat compilations available in 4K. At lower resolutions, watch two at once. 🐾
- Turn on your hotspot and tell your neighbors about it. Clearly state that they should only use it for low-bandwidth applications. This is a reliable way to force crazy downloads. ⛔
- Become a streamer. Broadcast your playthrough of a game that has appeared on this service 10,423 times on Twitch. Just like we did recently. 📺
- Download all AC/DC albums in FLAC format (lossless audio compression format) – they will all still sound the same, but in excellent quality. 🎸
By using the above tips, you can be sure that you won't get tangled up in low-bandwidth applications like a proverbial cat in a cilantro, and the data you transfer will contribute to the network's usage growth within the Viking community. We estimate that Vikings may use as much as 100,000 GB of internet on January 29-31, and up to PLN 10,000 will go into the Great Orchestra's collection box, which is the limit of our campaign. 💰 So, what do you say? [UPDATE 03/02/21 – CAMPAIGN RESULTS]
The weekend of mass internet usage is behind us. Vikings did not disappoint, and the usage they generated was as much as 53438.4 GB! This means that Mobile Vikings will donate PLN 5343.84 to the Great Orchestra's account. 💖
The majority of the traffic, as much as 68%, came from mobile devices during this period. And no wonder, after all, we are a mobile operator – instead of using hotspots, just surf on your phone. Kudos go to the record holder who downloaded the most during the Great Orchestra of Data Usage – 91.1 GB. 🤯 Thank you for your involvement and for once again showing the strength of the Viking community! 💪
