We arrived, we saw, we presented ourselves (with) dignity! 🦚 On Monday and Tuesday, some of our crew went to Poznań for the Golden Marketing Conference, to listen a bit about how other companies navigate the stormy waters of business, to talk about how we do it, and to convince ourselves once again that although our drakkar sails the sea on an unusual course, it's the best direction we could have chosen.
On a beautiful Monday morning (practically before morning, as it's twilight before five), we embarked on a journey. Destination? Poznań! Plan? Firstly, lectures, talks, presentations. Secondarily, observing numerous professionals – through half-closed eyelids, as we plan to remain opposed to populist practices. In between... snacking on pralines. 🍪 Did it go according to plan? Take a look!
Conference in times of plague
The first thing that caught our team's eye upon arrival at the Golden Marketing Conference venue was the emptiness. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the conference was partly held online, and on-site – for safety reasons – there were no more than two hundred people. Fortunately, we like intimate crews. 😉 So, we set up our stand, filled notebooks with famous trivia that we intended to give to guests, drank coffee, and... started listening to what's buzzing in marketing. 🧐
What we learned
We are proud to say: not much! 🙃 Proud because the majority of the lectures were dedicated to topics that we not only know but also apply in our daily work. A clearly defined company mission and strategy as a framework, without which nothing adequately creative will arise? We've got it! Following trends? The only social operator in Poland predicts that it's better to create a trend yourself than to go with the flow. 💪 Simple, human language as the key to good writing? Anyone who reads our emails knows. It's nice, however, to hear that what we do, we do well. And those few valuable tips we gained from some presentations will soon be implemented. It will be easier for us, and more pleasant for you – to live, not to die.
We were also not at all surprised by the fact that Jurek Owsiak, the special guest of GMC, is such a down-to-earth guy. He'd make a good Viking… 🤔
Viking Kuba presents
We also had our five, or even thirty, minutes on stage. Viking Kuba took on the responsibility of making an awesome impression on the Golden Marketing Conference guests on behalf of all of Mobile Vikings. He succeeded so well that after his presentation, he couldn't fend off those eager to meet him personally. 🌟
The rest of the crew in the audience was probably more nervous than Kuba on stage – his stage fright vanished in an instant, and he casually told the audience... what to do (in five simple steps) so that customers (forgive the language, Vikings!) write poems in praise of the company. 📜 If one of the poets who graced us with such a work is reading this, know that you are famous!

And what do we do that our crew likes us? You know that best. After all, it's your fault that we have the most loyal users among pre-paid offers in this part of the world. And we praise you for that – we will continue to go the extra mile to make it simply, humanly good for Vikings on our ship. 💺 And we say it out loud!
