Mateusz, our new Help Desk Hero, has just joined the Viking crew. However, Mateusz's recruitment process didn't go quite as planned, at least not at the beginning. The new Viking came to us because... he won a contest. And he's stayed with us for longer.
A story worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster. Well, maybe we're exaggerating a little. But the sequence of events we want to share with you certainly deserves to see the light of day.
Mateusz's story dates back to Kortez's concert during One Year To Go in Wrocław, a series of sports and recreational events supported by us, held a year before the 2017 World Games, the event for non-Olympic sports. Mateusz won a contest organized by us back then, and as a prize, he received a golden number and a year of free top-ups with Mobile Vikings. He found out about his victory on Facebook and replied exactly: "How cool. Let's talk after the concert."
And we did talk – so much so that he ended up getting a job with us. Mateusz decided to collect his prize and register his new number in person at our office. "I met Kasia there, who offered me coffee and caramel candies and walked me through the registration process," recalls Mateusz. "I also looked around the office, and since I'm a tech geek, I decided to take a chance and ask if they were looking for anyone to join the team," adds our new Help Desk Hero. We were looking. And since we had already gotten to know and like Mateusz, we decided to give him a chance and include his application in the recruitment process.
Then, things proceeded as usual. Mateusz sent us his CV, visited us once more, this time for a job interview, and shortly after, he became our new Help Desk Hero, a Customer Service Specialist. Since Monday, he's been helping you solve problems and answering your questions about how our network operates.
