Community is strength! It's amazing how you responded to the finale of the 12th edition of Rescue Lifeboats. Together, we showed that a mobile operator fighting depression might be an eccentric idea, but also a perfectly fitting one. It's worth going against the current! It's thanks to your commitment that more than one or two Vikings managed to relieve a burden from their minds.
Thank you! You are a network of people, not numbers – that’s the fact!
First, you decided that the theme of the 12th edition of Rescue Lifeboats should be mental well-being.
Later, you donated a huge amount of gigabytes, supporting Fundacja Nie Widać Po Mnie. We converted the gigs into zlotys and transferred them to the Foundation.
For the finale of the campaign, with your support and active participation, we prepared the social campaign Relieve a Burden from Your Mind.
The main phase of the campaign is now coming to an end, so it's time for a summary. But this isn't the real end, there will be scenes after the credits! A place where you can share kind words and start a conversation is still and will remain available to you – as long as we sail on this drakkar together.
Just head over to szalupyratunkowe.pl/relieve-a-burden! We are there, we are waiting.
It's worth talking, having a chat, and sometimes even getting things off your chest. Why? Because:

Together we relieved a burden from our minds
In a nutshell, what we managed to achieve together:
- Together with the Foundation, we prepared a series of newsletters sent to Vikings concerning depression and related issues.
- We launched a dedicated website, where we encouraged you to share kind words with other Vikings and Vikings-to-be.
- Together with the Foundation, we wrote a series of psychoeducational articles (check them out by clicking here).
- We prepared a campaign commercial (the one at the top), which we displayed, among other places, in fitness clubs in Wrocław.
- Also in Wrocław fitness clubs, we put up special stickers designed to encourage users to speak openly about emotions.
- The Viking Store featured a Strongman's Kit, which you bought out in a short moment.
- Information about the campaign was spread really wiiiide across the media, and the initiative itself resonated – and is still being talked about loudly.
- In Przemek Górczyk's podcast, Dr. Maciej Klimarczyk, a psychiatrist and sexologist, spoke about what destroys the psyche of young people – we encourage you to listen to the entire conversation. You can find it by clicking on this link.
- We organized the Run for a Lighter Head, encouraging Vikings to get off the couch with those in mind who didn't have the mental space for it that day.
But none of that matters!
Because what matters most is your response and your eager sharing of kind words.
From the beginning, we were aware that the topic of male depression is difficult. Since most guys have trouble talking about emotions, how were we supposed to encourage them to do it?
It turned out, however, that simply by pointing out this fact, good work is being done. Anyway, we'll give you the floor:
I often feel that I don't have support from loved ones in difficult moments; I put on headphones and cut myself off from the world.
I am currently in therapy, suffering from deep depression. I wish everyone to meet someone on their path who will find the best in them and show it to them.
After an almost 5-year relationship, I thought I wouldn't cope with the breakup; depression is still with me today, but it's getting better every day. Remember – never give up. Never. Best regards, great initiative!
Thank you for this initiative; the topic needs to be amplified. When my fiancée died in an accident, I was in a terrible state. Depression almost killed me, but good people helped. You also help with such initiatives.

Fortunately, you started a real dialogue with each other. Words of support appeared almost immediately:
I've been there, I know it's possible to get out. I'm rooting for you!
The goal can be simple: wake up in the morning, eat a healthy breakfast, call a loved one. Go for a walk. Value can be found in simple things, not in the pursuit of material happiness, etc.
Maybe instead of one global goal, it's better to set many smaller ones? Start with really simple things. And it will somehow work out!
One step is already a big leap!
Don't be ashamed to ask for help; do it for yourself and for those around you who care about you.
I'm working on this in therapy. I recommend taking care of yourself this way.
Let's try to enjoy each day and draw from life.
It's good that male depression is being talked about more and more openly. Vikings are once again returning triumphant. Bravo!
Thank you! Vikings, you are great! The 12th finale of Rescue Lifeboats is behind us. Let's prepare together for the next initiative!
